
The Greensboro Jewish Federation invites you to join us for a meaningful day of service with NECHAMA – Jewish Response to Disaster as we assist victims of Hurricane Helene in western North Carolina. This devastating storm left thousands of families in need, and together, we can make a difference.
Volunteer Trip Details
📅 Date: Sunday, April 27
📍 Location: Asheville area (specific site TBD)
🚍 Meet at Federation: 6:30 a.m. for registration & light breakfast
🕖 Depart at 7 a.m. | Return around 6 p.m.
💲 Cost: $36 (includes transportation, meals, and supplies)
👥 Volunteers must be 16+
What to Expect:
- Work may include debris removal, gutting homes, mucking, and rebuilding efforts
- Volunteers should be prepared for physical activity, standing, and lifting throughout the day
- Closed-toe shoes and weather-appropriate clothing required
- All tools and PPE will be provided by NECHAMA
