This is an active art-making class using old magazines, cards, wrapping or other textured paper, scissors and glue sticks. Participants will examine a few inspirational Jewish poems, quotes and songs, then create a torn/cut and glued collage that expresses their own desires for their “souls” in the year ahead.

Karen Dresser
earned her Ph.D. at UNC-Greensboro, and her Masters of Divinity at Wake Forest University. She has taught and tutored at Temple Emanuel, Beth David Synagogue, B’nai Shalom Day School, and formerly at American Hebrew Academy and The School of Divinity at Wake Forest University as an adjunct professor. Karen currently teaches part-time (Jewish Studies, Art, Theatre, Writing), and is an artist, singer, songwriter, playwright, director and cantorial soloist. Her ritual art can be seen in various universities, synagogues, churches and Islamic Centers in the US and in private homes worldwide.
